See through textures for interiors

I searched the forums and found some old info (circa 2001) info on getting see thru textures on a brush. I want to make a brush a chain link fence and have tried to use the hot pink and a png with alpha but no luck. Has anyone got this to work?

You can checkout the site and decide for yourself:

CShop / pipeline is similar to QuARK, its just a tool to create dif's. You will still need to apply the patch to enable transparencies in TGE. But, CShop w/ Pipeline is head and shoulder over QuARK.You can checkout the site and decide for yourself:

First, that you have to use that patch if you want transparent bits in your interiors.
Second, he's saying that CShop is a better tool than Quark.
You can decide on the latter point, but he's right on the first point.

I think what Brian is saying, is two things.First, that you have to use that patch if you want transparent bits in your interiors.
Second, he's saying that CShop is a better tool than Quark.
You can decide on the latter point, but he's right on the first point.

There is a patch at "http://www.garagegames.com/index.php?sec=mg&mod=resource&page=view&qid=4199" that will enable TGE to use tranparencies with diff's. I use Cartography Shop with Torque Pipeline to create interriors with transparencies. If you do decide to purchase CShop w/ pipeline (less $100.00) use TGA format images, this should give you the effect you're looking for.
