I was wondering when the RPG starter kit is coming out? I had heard that it was being worked on, but I havent heard much beyond that.

I'll be contributing to the network/database portion when the resources are delegated.
Last I looked there were still quite a few people involved.

Will this contain a repetition based leveling system similar to the one in Morrowind. What I mean is a leveling system whereby continuous use of a certain action increases the effectiveness of that action by increasing the stats of the attribute that the action depends upon? For example continuous successful slashing attacks increases the strength and dexterity (sp?) which decides how powerful the slash attack is.

If not will the pack make this easier to implement?

Will it also contain features similar to the ones in the RTS starter pack for example the custom camera system, the mini map, and the unit selection system as I originally intended to purchase the RTS starter pack instead.

James,

The resource I've been working on for 3 months, does the basic needs for what you are asking about. If you want, check out my current beta server at www.geeconsulting.net and download the client and register. Then connect to the vision server. The resource should be out the end of the month.

Thanks for your help guys it was much appreciated.

BTW is anyone working on a cyberpunk action/rpg in the community as duplicating the same thing is stupid not to mention contemplating developing my own game is rather overwhelming, especially the programming side of things. I'd imagine developing a game while beginning to learn C++ would be difficult.

Vince- Thanks for the offer. Your resource sounds really interesting.

I'm developing an action/RPG James but it's not cyberpunk. Post nuclear horror in 3rd person to be exact. Haven't heard of anyone else doing a cyberpunk game recently but you might want to search the site and other sites anyway. And remember, it's not always stupid developing a game of similar concept. For example, if you have an intuitive gameplay, it will attract people anyway.
