our games

I have a question about the example program and our own games.
1. If we're going to be doing our own game (which of course will involve heavy scripting), should we work in the \example dir, or copy the example dir to a new dir for our own game (say, \ourgame)?
2. With all the different subdirectories under \example, how about moving them and reflecting the locational changes in the scripts? I mean, move all the FPS scripts to the common directory and subdirectories, (or main, or base, or something like that), since our games will not have an "FPS mod", it *WILL* be an FPS.
3. If we move the directories and move out of the \example directories, what do we do when there are script updates on the CVS? Would we have to grow up and leave CVS behind after a certain point? Or are there rarely script updates on the CVS?
Any help would be appreciated.
