Looking for Team Members for TinHat Interactive
by Mark Winter · in Jobs · 03/18/2001 (3:46 am) · 9 replies
Hi people,
I am currently looking for people to join the new TinHat Interactive game "The Dragon Project". We are an internet based company and at present are in the startup/design stage of development. We are probably going to be using the new V12 or the PLG version of the Quake engine for the game. Im afraid, as with many games that I cannot offer any payment at this point in the development but as usual any royalties / units sold will be used to pay the team members. I am at this point looking for the following:
2D/3D Concept artists
Creative Writers
Coders [with a good knoweldge of their chosen language]
As we are possibly using the V12 engine I really need good programmers. The problems with getting used to the new engine etc. will have to be dealt with along the way as we develop the game.
If anybody requires further information on the poject I have provided a link here..

I see alot of things like this and I have to wonder... if you don't write, and you don't code, level design, engineer audio, create music, do 3D models or animation... what do YOU do? And why are you forming a team that should follow your lead?Z

If you had bothered to do even the smallest amount of research before posting on this thread you would know that I am a professionaly trained composer/musician with a high level of experience in computer game audio/music design. I am also skilled in 3D and 2D art work and besides all that I wrote and designed the entire concept for this project.
This, I believe (in combination with a high level of experience in marketing, team development and management in which I have a university degree) makes me more than qualified to form a development team and lead them.
Please do not bother to post in the forums if you cannot do the following
1: post something constuctive/usefull
2: do some research before making sweeping statements on a topic that you have no prior knowledge on.

Whoa, whoa, there Chief. Settle down and vent that unnecessary hostility. I was simply asking a question. I see quite a few posts where someone says they need about a dozen people for various positions and it makes you wonder what they're doing themselves. I noticed your profile only after I posted so yeah, mark off two brownie points for me but don't get so bent outta shape.

No hostility intended. I have been having an unusually bad day and reading your post just promted me to defend myself. Anyway, no hard feelings and I wish you the best in your own development.

S'alright. I should have explained myself better. Rereading my original question, I can see how could be interpreted as being crass.
