Unread posts problem

by Bruno Grieco · in Torque Game Engine · 05/10/2005 (7:28 am) · 8 replies

Guys,

Sorry for posting this here, but I'm having problems reading unread posts for the last couple of weaks. Since monday I can't get them at all.

When I click on my "Read Unread Posts" links, they show as 0. If I try browsing thru them I get the whole database. Even after posting myself the counter doesn't change.

The aftermath of this is that I don't have a clue of what has been going on for the last week.

Please fix this bug

TIA

Bruno

I had the same thing happen and was only able to fix it by clickiing "Mark all as Read" - of course missing all that happened in between.

Yes, have had this happen at least three times in the 6 or so months frequenting the site. I visit at least once a day so I can just quickly rip through and open anything dated past the previous day but it's still a royal PITA.

And what does that have to do with the SDK ? There is a bugs forum just for the website, and this issue has been brought up before in them...

Well, I sort of apologized for posting here but there is a real reason.

When this bug happens and I click on the unread messages, the ONLY forum that is shown is this one.

So I need to have this message here so I can keep track of it.

BTW, I posted some messages and my unread counter still marks 0.

@Ben,
Could you please direct me to whom I should ask for help. I can't read the new posts since sunday.

Bruno, you've tried logging out, closing your browser, clearing its cache and logging back in ?

Bruno, did you try doing what I did to solve this? Click on "Mark all as Read" and wait for some time...in my case that reset things and new posts started to register again.

Clicking on "mark all as read" resets it. obviously keeping me out of what happened. But the thing is that this has happened for sometime now.

@Nicolas
I never tried what you suggested, going to try it next time, before marking everything as read.
