Price of havok

by Gary Roberson · in General Discussion · 05/08/2005 (11:47 am) · 6 replies

I just been to the Havok site to find some information about their product, but I cannot find the license fees for their product.

Does anyone here know how much it costs?

Also, besides ODE, does anyone know of any other physics engine?

If i am not mistaken its about 40k per title

Oh, and here is a link to give you an idea on pricing for the big boys

And i was wrong, the avg price for havok is $65,000 to $75,000 per title

Xander Twombly expressed interest in Novodex. Apparently it is free for commercial use provided it supports the PhysX add in board.

You figures might be a bit off
The last time i spoke on the phone with the torque guys the out of the box license costs around $120 000 . you can get slimmer versions of it with less features but that is what I was quoted

I was told the same price that Ryan was, by a Havok represenative himself, and this was a couple years ago and it even had royalties back then as well.

Yea, that might be the only thing that changed I am pretty sure that the 120k price tag is royalty free now..

either way it ain't cheap at all...
