Physics in Torque

Does Torque have physics built in for vehicles, collisions, force, gravity and ragdoll?

Yes, it has built in physics, but they are not Grade A, for instance, it is not always accurate, and it does not have native ragdoll support. You might want to integrate a 3rd party physics library such as Tokamak or ODE.Edit: Thanks for beating me to the post :(

I've heard that some guys are adding ODE to Torque. Any idea when this will happen?

I checked out the in-game physics for Torque and they are pretty impressive anyway. I might not need it to start with... we will see!

Is it possible to use the Novodex Physics SDK with Torque. It is something that is mentioned on the Novodex site.
Thanks

I just briefly browsed Tokamak's site and noticed theirs has been released free for commercial or non-commercial use. (version 1.x) How does it compare to ODE?

Anyone working on a Tokamak physics resource like the ODE one? Doesn't ODE have license issues?I just briefly browsed Tokamak's site and noticed theirs has been released free for commercial or non-commercial use. (version 1.x) How does it compare to ODE?

Don't think there are license issues and ODE is opensource cross platform. Last time I used tokomak it was Win32 only. Which is a major drawback for anyone serious about getting their game publshed with the best chance of success. Tokomak is pretty cool though :).

Ah okay, I'll check ODE out a bit then, might even end up using it :)

The last time I checked, there is no support for ragdoll physics, but there is a content pack that is ragdoll animations.
That should be about it, :)

Edit: I think Mike's post is better, see below.
