Checkpoints viewable out of editor

by Frogger · in Torque Game Engine · 04/30/2005 (7:53 pm) · 11 replies

I just got the head today, and I ran the racing stuff, noticing that the checkpoints are still visible out of the editor.

Hopefully someone can find what problem this is.

BTW, the new console looks cool.

And, I couldn't help but look strangely at this warning :

Quote:exec: Warning! Found a DSO from the future!

:)

Well, the only way to clean them out of the normal view is by entering the editor.

Anyone know what the problem is?

I believe it also happens when DSOs are regenerated. Why worry about it?

Sorry, but I don't keep track of posts very well.

Ben, what do you mean? I removed all of the DSO's and ran once more. I'm not expert at Torque, so I would be happy if someone could please explain.

Oh, you're talking about the checkpoints. No idea, I'lll check on this when I go back into TGE mode.

If anyone can confirm this with their builds it would be appreciated. :)

Yes, it would be.

Did anyone find a solution to this? I am now having the same problems.

I have no idea what the solution would be; but it might be good to identify the code that's drawing the triggers and seeing why it's getting called outside of the editor.

I am seeing the same problem with checkpoints in 1.4 RC in the starter.racer. I'll see if I can reproduce the problem better.

Yeah I see it too, thought I had done something to affect it, but it seems even with the clean build it is happening. The only way I can get it to go away is while in the race entering then exiting the world editor, then all is fine.
