Hmmm, I don't have a the windows version, but the directory must be similar to Mac. Right click on the the windows menu button on the task bar(the on that you use to get to your programs). Chose 'explorer-all users' for to open the Window explorer program(this in not Internet Explorer, but the program that searches you operating system's directory.

Now just locate the the Marble directory. In marble folder you should find most everything you need to customize the marble as well as add custom levels to your game. For instance, if you download a custom level and you are given a file called mydif.dif, this file goes always in marble/interiors folder. You have to open up the interiors folder and drag this file from where ever you downloaded it to into the interior folder. The only exception to this rule is if the custom level builder specified a special place for his interior(.dif ) files. That is, it could be placed in marble/interiors/myspecialplace.

For .mis file, you must place them in the marble/mission/custom directory. If you don't have a folder named 'custom,' then create one and place the .mis file in that folder. The .mis file or mission is very important because you level won't work without it. You can add any .png or .jpg files here too, so you will have a snapshot of the level when the level opens in marble blast.

For changing you marble skin, you have to go to the marble/shapes/ball directory(I think). There's a file in there, a default file, that skins your marble. Geesh, I don't remember the name of it now, but you want to remember to save a copy of this default file, so when you replace a custom skin, you won't lose it.

What you do here is take you default file place it somewhere else(maybe the desktop) then put one of the custom skins in the folder to replace it. Start up marble blast and open a level---Voila, you have a new shell.

Goodluck and remember to back up any file you don't want to lose.

Actually, I was trying to answer that question for a Window's user. The easiest way is to track down the the marble folder using Window Explorer. Or do a search for the the marble folder. I'm pretty certain that the interiors, mission and balls folders are within that directory. Can anyone confirm this?

Hmm, Alex can you find the marble folder? It must be a folder that supports the Windows version of Marble Blast. Maybe it's in the program files folder. That's why I suggested using Windows Explorer or the search option to find that folder. Once you find that folder, you should be home free and follow directions given with the level.

Alex,
Calm down, Solo was trying to help.

What you are describing is what you would see if you selected Marble Blast from the start menu, not from windows explorer.

You will have to go to "My Computer"

Then the hard drive called "C:"

Then "Program Files"

Then "Marble Blast Gold"

You should see the folders that solo describes there.

Thanks Alex S.!

I though he might be able to find the folder easier with Explorer or the search option, but my next tactic was to describe the route you mentioned above. It's so much much easier on the Mac because we just have Ctrl-click to bring up a context menu and then open the package!

Alex('Alex') did you get the levels to work yet? I hope you are now enjoying all the custom level that our members here have spent so much time creating. I also hope that you will be inspired to create your own custom levels that you will contribute to our ever-increasing archive collection.

Go Marbler's (Marbler's unite).
