Here are some screenshots of my latest obsession:

The screenshots can be found here:
Strategery
If for some reason they don't load for you in the forum.
If you've ever played "Stratego" you already understand the basic rules of this game. This is a simple, playable game designed not for sale, but just to help me learn the ropes of T2D.
demo download
Props to my Son, Luke, for designing the background scene!

I loved Stratego! You need to package this and put it up for download... I can already see far too much of my time being played on this lol (not implying its not worth playing, just that it seems like a blast!)... (just call me Psychic... or maybe Psycho is more appropriate *shrug*)

Hey!:) Really original with a good taste of visual perspective!:) And since Stratego was a blast, a game like this one could be very hard to part from!:) Can hardly wait for the download!:) Great stuff Kevin!:)

Instructions:
This is a stand-alone distributable. You should be able to unzip it to its own directory and click T2D.EXE to start playing.
How to play:
1. Click "Start" at the top of the screen
2. Click Assign Ranks
-if you don't assign ranks, your guys are dead meat.
-You can drag and drop ranks manually or click "Randomize" for quick setup.
-Move ranks around by dragging / Droppping (props to King Tut!)
-There are some issues that need worked out in moving ranks around.
-Basically, drag the rank over an empty space, then drop it.
if a rank is occupied, it will swap with the one on your mouse
after that happens, you have to double click that rank into an empty rank holder
if you don't get a rank to "stick" it will appear in the battle field after you commit
3. Click Commit Ranks when done.
4. Click Start Skirmish to begin battle
-combat is quick and linear, no more interaction is needed.
-you can zoom and pause the action
5. If you win, your score is held over for the next skirmish.
6. Click Reset Game to clear the field and restart.
I have developed a strategy of rank placement that gives me a win 3 out of 5 battles. 2500 is my highscore.
Have fun lads! I had a blast making it.
Oh, and no suggestions on improvement, please. I'm a sensitive, fragile person and cannot take the slightest criticism ;-)

Are there explanations of the various ranks in the game? I don't know anything about Stratego.

Low rank kills high rank
when tied, both die
m=miner (only rank to survive bomber attack)
b=bomber (kills everything, except miner)
s=spy (Only wins over #1 rank)
Flag: protect your own and capture the enemy's.

Heh, I love Torque. Porting's so easy... if you have access to another machine that is.

Nice job. You mentioned that you can zoom? How would I go about doing that?

EDIT:
My email can handle attachments up to 10MB

@Kevin: If you send me the source I should be able to port it so long as you didn't do any funky platform-specific coding. I'm willing to give it a shot.EDIT:
