Run n gun

Heres the idea for my first game:
youre a guy on rollerblades. you have a machine gun attached to your back. the point of the game is to deliver packages but its basically a shoot'em up. the game moves at a fast pace at all times as enemies are moving fast with you to shoot you or whatever.

No roller ninja blades the games gonna be called run n gun and he'll have a machine gun as his only weapon. ive worked out the main gameplay details in my head and im still working on enemy designs and such.

If you're that hard on one thing, go do it. Personally I think the machine guns are pretty whack too. Just because I'll probably get bored shooting people after 5 minutes.

I dont mind suggestions but some things are set in stone. the name and weapons are final. id like some suggestions on character design for the main character and enemies though.

its cool because it can either stand for run and gun, or running gun. the style of gameplay would lean more toward the running gun name but i like the ambiguity.
and those screens look nice. cool character designs but a little too detailed for what im going for.

Sounds like that should have been released on the 8-bit NES. I'm picturing a pizza delivery boy with blonde hair and a backwards baseball cap, shooting at a guy with a pink mohawk and tight leather pants while some other Mad Max style mall thugs chase him down in an over stuffed convertable, chains, bats (with nail) and all.

I'm picturing a pizza delivery boy with blonde hair and a backwards baseball cap, shooting at a guy with a pink mohawk and tight leather pants while some other Mad Max style mall thugs chase him down in an over stuffed convertable, chains, bats (with nail) and all.

I would much prefer the pelvic thrust and impule with ragdol enemys for the "weapon-atack" and a afro for the char.... I mean, because, I think it would be very hard to get bored of "pelvic thrusting" enemys and having them roll away in a dramatic manner.... but ahh well... Possably some lude comments in there.... or "commands" possably??

Do flips are other tricks to slice enemies that are after the packages.
