Animating textures, materials, skins . . .

by Robert Nall · in Torque Game Engine · 04/07/2005 (12:20 pm) · 2 replies

I haven't been able to find a thread on this, which I find odd so I'm not going to dispute that there probably is one . . . anyway, I'm trying to determine is it is possible to do material animations on a .dts object (or even better a .dif object). The application in this example is to have something like an air-conditiong vent with a texture animated fan.

So, if anyone knows one way or the other if and/or how this can be done, I'd appreciate the help.

Thanks,
-Rob

Look around for .ifl image file lists
there was a post by Joe Maruschak (sp?) with a health pack from think tanks that uses this, it may have been in one of his .plans

here's one[for GameSpace], depends on the modeling application, can even be done in Milkshape3d. Just this morning; I did a Translucent-IFL animated shape. It had all 3 basic animation tracks, so the texture sequence was working inside a sequence, :).
