GID#11 - One Knight Army

Well, my time is up, and I was unable to complete my game. Got pretty far, but there's no sound, and not all of the graphics are where I'd like them to be (particularly the "cannonball hitting a knight" animation).
I may or may not continue with this, but either way, it was a tremendous learning experience and a great way to blow 24 hours :)
Some screens from my game -

I'm too beat (not to mention getting sick) to explain what the point of the game is, but I will be making a .plan to document my Game In A Day attempt, and I may even include a download of the game for those who want to check it out.

I to LOVE the art style.

You can't expect to have a fully polished game in 24 hours. So what if it has no sound and some art is fubared. Is the game playeable? Thats all that counts.I to LOVE the art style.

I will hopefully be posting a download this weekend. Need to get a few things working first.
@Melv - I've actually got something planned now in a similar style art style, but with a larger scope. Thanks for making the tools that make this possible :)

Agreed. It should be there. It has a look that's as set apart from Torque 3D as you can get. And it looks decent to boot. Also, since it's not vector art, it sets itself apart from Flash work (another popular 2D game technology). Even though Flash CAN do this look, it's very uncommon.

Hey, thanks for the idea! I didn't know anyone could do that. I submitted a snapshot just now. I'd actually like to see more T2D stuff up there - nice change of pace from the 3D models :)

How did you do the custom font?

Even if it is just a level, finish it. It looks like it would be a blast to fool around with!
