Do you see any reason the engine couldn't be used for a game/sim where the characters are primarily within vehicles , anything from Mech type to Flight Sim ?

A side thought then , when a character has a jet pack , does he then have 6 1/2DOF ? Do you see any reason the engine couldn't be used for a game/sim where the characters are primarily within vehicles , anything from Mech type to Flight Sim ?

Since T2 already has ground and flying vehicles, I don't see a problem with doing Mech or Sim type games. T2's engine architecture is based on T1's, and T1's engine was used for Starsiege (a mech sim).

Well, when a player is flying, it's still 4 1/2, but when a player is attached to a vehicle, it goes to 6 :) (since the vehicles has 6). The fact that the player normally has only 4 1/2 is simply a control issue, we like the player to be standing up most of the time.Since T2 already has ground and flying vehicles, I don't see a problem with doing Mech or Sim type games.
