Changing text colour

by Aaron Varshney · in Torque Game Builder · 03/27/2005 (8:25 am) · 6 replies

This is going to make me sound like a plonker but...how DO you change the GUI text colour? It's always black and having it on a dark background doesn't really help lol, any ideas? Or should I just photoshop it?
Another one is how do you create a new paragraph with the Multiline Text control? Or should I just create a seperate one? Also is scrollbars possible?
Gah, questions question questions, I be you've had enough of me. :P
These are two of the pics where I need the colour of the text white or something of a contrast to the red box BG:

Aaaah, can't believe I've been so stupid over the text colour...thanks.
Is there a way to create a new line without having to make a new control?

Aaron, Just incase you don't know which files he means.... they are.... CustomProfiles or defaultGameProfiles (in starter.fps\client\ui)

I asked the same Q when I first srated playing with the GUI. :)

As for your other Q... take a look at www.garagegames.com/mg/forums/result.thread.php?qt=26645 it might help you.

Thanks, that helped loads! The link below was in that article and it works wonders, it doesn't tell me how to make a scroll window though I'm sure that I can get away from using one. ;)

To make a window scroll just put a guiScrollCtrl as the parent to the control you want to scroll :)
