Lost all progress / settings on OS X 10.3.5

All the technical info: I'm using MB Gold (the version that came with my iBook) in OS X 10.3.5; I usually run the game at 768x1024. I don't know if anything else is necessary.
Twice now I've lost all my progress and settings. These two times, I have exited the game using the command on the main menu, but when I return to my desktop there's an error message waiting for me from OS X: "the program Marble Blast Gold has terminated unexpectedly . . " or something to that effect.
I believe that both times this has happened I've been running iTunes in the background, but it doesn't happen every time I run the two programs together.
Anyone else have this problem?

Also you can click on the bottom right corner of the screen to skip to the next level. I used that a lot

I don't believe that I have ever seen this bug posted before. I will try to reproduce it on my machine so we can troublshoot it. My first recommendation would be to use Software Update to move to system 10.3.8, but I don't know if that will fix the problem.
If you get frustrated with having to do all those levels over again, remeber that you can access any level by typing the ~ key to bring down the console, then typing:
and typing ~ again to clear the console.
Doesn't save your high scores, but it will at least prevent you from having to play the basic levels over and over again. Please let us know if updating to 10.3.8 eliminates the error.
