Multi platform game

Firstly let me say a bit 'Hi Everyone' because I'm a newbie and this is my first post.

OK, now that that's over with....

If like me your lucky enough to have all three platform Mac OS X (10.3.8), Fedora core 3 & win XP SP2, have you tried to biuld a cross platform game.

What I would like to do is to build a FPS set in Corwall, England but to have seperate installs in the same media for each of the above, using the common files whereever possible ( artwork, models, mods, scripts Etc.... it's a long list) I can achive this in the first instance by having a HPFS (MAC Format) filesystem on the cd and putting the autorun in that. I think that I may be able to fudge a autorun.ini script for the other too the will differetiate between the two ( not sure ).

To be honest, I don't kbow if its possible, but I feel that one way of giving my game some really possitive effect would be to furnish the buyer with all three formats so that in theory it would only differ in the executable and library areas.

If anyone has succeeded in this or would like to collaberate toward it I would love to hear fom you.

What we do for our online games is have three seperate downloads. For a CD install like you have, I would suggest simply having the three installers and instructions on the disk on how to run them... There are a fair (although not huge) number of products along these lines, so you might see how they do it.
