Art in a Week #1 - Rage

Art in a Week is essentially an offshoot of the excellent "Game in a Day" idea that Tom Bampton has brought to the GarageGames community. Just as it is with Game in a Day, Art in a Week has been brought forward to encourage artists here in the GarageGames community to try out their skills and abilities to create an art piece on a specific subject that is given.
Each month, a new Art in a Week contest will be held in which a specific subject or theme will be given and the artist has 7 days to produce art on that theme. This art can be anything from sketches or paintings, to digital artwork done with vectors or rasters in your illustrating or 3D modeling program. At the end of this week, each artist will showcase their work to their peers in the Art in a Week compeition and receive feedback from them.
There is no prize, no award and no accolades given. Art in a Week is not here to judge who is best but to allow an artist to advance their skills by having them explore their abilities in ways that are not normally offered in your typical game project. It is our hope that artists will utilize this as an opportunity to learn from one another, such as new techniques or ways of producing a result, as well as ways of thinking and looking at your own artwork so that it may be honed and perfected with more practice.
Art in a Week is open to any artist who wishes to challenge themselves, but the artist must be prepared to take open and constructive criticism from his or her peers.

Damn, this needed more publicity. I didn't even know it had finally started until I saw the topic on the indie art channel today. :(

"Rage"
1. Violent, explosive anger.
2. A fit of anger.
3. Furious intensity, as of a storm or disease.
What we are looking for in submissions here are images that inspire the viewer to feel the emotion of rage dripping from every pixel on the screen with all of the fury, anger and power being unleashed in either a controlled or uncontrolled manor. This could be from a powerful individual, from something in nature, etc.

Some Quick Rules
1. All artwork must be unique, it can be inspired by something, but it should not take from any existing copyright material.
2. Artwork submissions should be original works of art that are either hand drawn/painted or have been originally created in a 2D or 3D art program on the computer. No photo manipulation is allowed. Collaborations are allowed as long as the artists involved are mentioned. Any artwork created does not need to be usable in a game engine.
3. Ensure that you post your name and copyright information on your image. This is to ensure that work that you post remains yours and that anyone viewing it understands that it is your creation and may not be used without your expressed permission. The work that you create is yours.
4. Keep your artwork clean and displayable in the public. Use your discretion here, but remember that if you think that your mom will be offended by it, it's probably not something you should submit. Any offensive posts will be removed either by the author or by GarageGames.
Best of luck to everyone who gets involved.
