Hi everyone, I hope that you do not mind me making a post here promoting a great contest for indies that my day job employers are running, but I think that it has tremendous opportunities for a lot of the developers here on the GarageGames community to benefit from.
The contest is called the Opengine Indie Xtra SDK and the goal is to build a 2D or 3D game that can be potentially played on the industry leading electronic bingo system called Gecko Xtra. So think puzzle games, games of chance and other fun items that would appeal to this market and that your creative minds can come up with.
So how exactly can you and/or your team benefit from this contest?
1. The grand prize is $10,000.00 USD and also includes a trip to Las Vegas for the Global Gaming Expo (September 12th thru the 15th)
2. Three runner-up prizes of $2500.00 USD
3. Potential to have your game become published and distributed to over 3000 Gecko Xtra systems even if you don't win
If you are curious and want to find out more about this contest, including complete contest rules and downloads, please visit the Opengine Indie Xtra SDK web site.

You are indeed correct that this is a fantastic opportunity for any Indie developer to get into if they are indeed serious about doing this sort of stuff. $10,000 is a really good way to get started and with additional benefits from publishing you honestly cannot go wrong.
@Everyone
So get involved Indies, I and many of my co-workers fought long and hard here saying that we should give independent developers a chance to get into this stuff. Don't proove us wrong or make all our hard work to give something back to people like yourself go to waste, because I doubt that another serious opportunity like this will come about anytime soon.
Don't squander your chances, do what you can to take control of your future!
