Invisible character in engine, need help desperately please!

I've got a character that works in Torque. However, I need to make changes to it. So I added polys and whatnot to it, even changed the texture(kept same name though).
I have the new improved character setup in 3dsmax 5 with a basic animation, and it is setup the same as my original character. I export out of 3dsmax fine. I use the new ShowTool Pro, and the character shows up properly with animation and texture.
However, when I run the engine, the character(which I have replaced the original with) is invisible in the world. I can see that the animation is there, since I have a gun mounted to the hand(the gun being a seperate scene and whatnot, like how Jill in the character pack is setup). Anyhoo, the gun is moving as it did with the previous version of the character.
Can anyone please help me figure this out? I've checked everything with this new character to try and figure out why it's not showing up in the engine. Again, it IS showing up in the ShowTool, which I thought would basically tell me that "yes, the character works fine in the engine" if it displays and animates it.
I'm pulling my hair out!(btw, I did export the old character again, and it works just fine.)

Thanks for the post. My characters only have 1 LOD, detail size 2. This new character has the same setup as the original I had made. I'll check the scene again for any hidden objects or other weirdness. Thanks again.

I have tried getting rid of the Multi-sub from the scene, by putting just one texture in a new Standard material and applying that to the whole character. Still did not show up in the engine.
I'm hoping somebody has had this problem before, or can just help me find some ideas why this is happening. :(
All this right when I have a deadline, and when I think I've got torque figured out. :( It's really emptied the latrine on me. :(

Maybe this is something wrong with the materials.... The old character had just a Standard material on him. This new one has a visor with transparancy for it, as well as the main texture of the character. These are put together in a multi-sub, with the visor polys being material ID 2, and the main character being Material ID 1. I'm using PNG's with the character(incidentally, I'm also using PNG's with the gun which works).I have tried getting rid of the Multi-sub from the scene, by putting just one texture in a new Standard material and applying that to the whole character. I got the character to go in as a static shape, I'm wondering now if it's something weird with my skeleton or something. Ugh, this sucks. :(

To fix invisable characters it's in your lods. Just put a 3 at the end of each mesh label and then you'll be good.
