Game Designers gone Mad!!

My designers(artist and musicians) are messing up my storyline:
Your searching for a planet you crash theres is an alien(inhabitants) war because an alien(inhabitants) leader got killed one race of aliens acuses the other. one side is willing to let the humans(aliens) come there if they help them win the war. then they betray you and you have to fight them but some of them still like you they secretly give you weapons. you fight the aliens(inhabitants) of then the humans(aliens) come there.
They were changing it a little and then they went overboard how to stop them from macking an 80 hour cut-scene(80 min.).?

Also, if it has to do with budget practicalities, explain it to them...

Hrm.....well, I can't say much since i don't know waht they did with your storyline....but compromise is a good word. Don't offend them, but don't give in too easily. Take stuff you like, and then explain why the others don't really work....Also, if it has to do with budget practicalities, explain it to them...

If yes, is it your game design?
If yes, then you have every right to DIRECT what the Artists are doing. Be diplomatic. Explain your vision. Listen to their ideas. BUT at the end of the day, it's your game design and someone has to lead the project AND make the final decisions.
Being a team leader is not easy, I know but at the end of the day you have to direct the project or it will derail, crash & burn, become a train wreck and... well, just never get finished. Or it will be just plain crap. Take your pick :)
So at the end of the day it's your choice. Everyone can do what they want OR you can work together toward a single vision. If it's your game design, it's your vision. Let other contribute to it but not to the point you lose the... point :)
Good Luck!

Ben that sounds more like personal issues you need to talk with them about. It is your game correct? Lay down some gidelines and tell em either it's this way or else. You do need to comprimise but there part shouldn't be so much of a say.
