Maximum altitudes...why did T2 restrict them so much?

I was playing Tribes 1 last night...yes, Tribes 1. And I remembered that on most of the T1 maps, the maximum heighth was rather high. On some user-created T2 maps, in fact, the maximum altitude has been pretty signifigant.

Why did T2 restrict the aircraft like they did? Is this a gameplay issue or one of CPU overload?

I've got reasons to call for 400+ meter high maximum altitudes in C3. Is there a problem with this?

I would think game play. Kinda sucks when the flag carrier is so high up that it would take an hour to get to him.

Granted:) But I'm not talking about a rediculous altidtude here. Just more room to maneuver.

I'm not sure what the T2 limits are, but we certainly restricted the T1 vehicle heights for gameplay reasons.

Somebody suggested that the out of bounds area be in three dimensions, so that if a carrier flew too high he would loose the flag.

Scott,

You have the SOURCE! Change it, and make the max altitude as high as you want.
