@Robert: It's early days (so very early). To say that we know exactly what T2D will contain in 12 months time would be lying. We've got a plan, we'll listen to everyone, including subjects such as this and we'll develop more technology. That's about all we can say at this point. A long way to go yet with lots of cool stuff coming. :)- Melv.

Edit:
By-the-way, I know everyone has already congratulated you, but I haven't:
great job on T2D! I can hardly wait to learn it an get my ideas out and make you proud! T2D is a game engine done the right way.

Robert, re: using 3D shapes in T2D. That would be very cool. We can't put a whole 3D renderer in T2D though. So, this'll be one that has to be done with integration.
However, Melv *already* has the ability to view 3D shapes (scene-lit, even) against T2D, and controlling their zoom, etc, wouldn't be a hard addition. No doubt, before too long here, we'll release a patch that you can apply to T2D+TGE to make this kind of thing dead-simple. :)
I do not think it'll ever be a built-in feature of T2D itself though, as 3D is Torque and TSE's domain. But yeah, it's a very cool idea, and lots and lots of people want to see it, so when there's time, we'll clean up what Melv has now and turn it into a full, easy to apply resource for TGE + T2D owners. :)

Thanks Matt. We can't talk too much about everything on the way yet. But trust us when we say, both Melv and I are incredibly devoted to T2D. We have ***TONS*** more cool ideas and can't wait to implement them. It's going to be an awesome year for us all. :)Robert, re: using 3D shapes in T2D. That would be very cool. 2) There is supposed to be some form of lighting. Look at the fish tank pics
3)Bonziibudy.
Edit sorry. I didn't read the last part about intergrating with Torque. Anyway I am sure that someone will get something going and post a resource for those of us not so technically advanced in the world of 3d
