Characters - GameSpace or MAX

I need to make some characters for our game and I'm wondering what the preferred program is to make and export characters that will animate thru various threads. I know MAX really well and I'd like to create/ animate my characters within MAX and export them as DTS objects. Does MAX and its DTS exporter work well enough for characters exporting to Torque. Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

For example:
Attempting to export LOD and a skinned biped to DTS can be pain.
Custom riggings and LOD seem to cause no problems.
Apart from that, it's as described by the matrix.

It works just fine as long as you don't try to do too much at once. For example:
Attempting to export LOD and a skinned biped to DTS can be pain.
Custom riggings and LOD seem to cause no problems.
Apart from that, it's as described by the matrix.

Thanks for the feedback. Since I'm much more familiar with MAX and chosen that route and I'm finding that exporting characters with animation is pretty straightforward when referring to the Character Pack. The question I have can characters exported from MAX be mounted to a vehicle that was exported from GameSpace when its a totally separate DTS object. Or does my character and vehicle need to be part of the same DTS object? I'm not too experienced with charcater animation in GmaeSpace so thats why I'm wanting to do it all in MAX. Thanks

Mounting characters to vehicles is something the engine takes care of. You'll just have to make sure you have your mountpoints in the right places on each object.
