RTS and FPS in one game?

I'm really new to Torque... just bought the Indie a little while back. I'm thinking about getting the RTS kit. Would the RTS kit allow me to make games with some RTS type levels and then some FPS, etc. type levels. I'm thinking of a massive game that would involve some levels of having a team of your characters do various tasks... sort of like Final Fantasy, but in RTS mode, not that side screen stuff... and then other levels that would be more traditional either third person or first person.

The FPS kit provides you with some objects that implement RTS functionality. The problem is that what works well for an RTS (lots of units, coarse simulation) doesn't work very well for an FPS. So you can easily mix the objects, but it may not work out very well - getting things switching back and forth seamlessly would take a lot of work.

RTS kit, not FPS kit, right?

Just make sure to design for consistency and not for "oooh cool!!!" features. The main reason is that most multi-genre games lack a choerent interface when switching modes, which ruins the gameplay.
