Which exporter?

I'm new to TGE.
I need to use Blender with it and the DTS exporter doesn't wan't to work under any circumstances ( Why no offical exporter for a free Blender but official exporters for programs that cost 20 times the license cost of TGE??? Who can afford $2500 for Max to develop on TGE??? )
Anyway, what is the file SDK/tools/blender/exoprtDTS.py for?
Is this what I should be using? Or should I be using the file 4662.pyfeb010.87.zip downloaded from the "DTS matrix" resource.
And it all seems rediculous to have to grab a file here, download python there, rollback to some vesion with security flaws, try an old version of Blender, open a script here and change this or that.
I've used nice exporters from Blender to .x, .ase, .3ds etc before and they may have needed a bit of tweaking to install but didn't need a whole afternoon to read through one gigantic post (http://www.garagegames.com/blender)in the forums that covers everthing from blender 2.33 to the current and you need to add a trick from every version upgrade since 2.33.
What is the simplest way to use Blender 2.36 with TGE?

On a WinXP system TGE and blender 2.36 and python 2.3 work nicely. Please keep in mind all my models are super simple and or from packs (ie the war sparrow pack.) I have not exported animations or dsq's, just models. Works everytime.
Get Python 2.3 and load it into a folder called c:\python
Get Blender 2.36 load it into c:\blender
" Why these goofy paths and not the defaults ? " No idea, this is how I got the combo of Blender and the DTS exporter to work every time.
Get the new .87 DTS exporter http://www.garagegames.com/blender
Now take all the files ( include the files in folders ) and place them all in c:\blender\.blender\scripts
( Place updates/upgrades to blender and the DTS Exporter in these folders respectively. Leave Python at 2.3 until you see that blender uses it )
My environment is set as follows
SET PYTHONPATH=C:\PYTHON23;C:\PYTHON23\DLLS;C:\PYTHON23\LIB;C:\PYTHON23\LIB\LIB-TK;C:\BLENDER\.BLENDER\SCRIPTS
There are various posts about adding the Python path variable ? yes/no This works for me. I went from blender 2.35 and the previous exporter ( with forum updates ) to 2.36 and .87 by installing right over the files in the c:\blender and c:\blender\.blender\scripts directories.
Originally I had to open the python scripts window in blender and do an "update menus."
Under "export" the DTS Exporter appeared. It should apear under the regular export menu.
This was under 2.35 and the previous exporter to .87. My 2.35 worked great and installing over top upgraded me to 2.36 and .87. ie blender 2.35 to 2.36 and exporter .84 ?? to .87.
Blender and the Exporter kick serious ass, hope this helps.
Hope this helps,
Tom

Moved all the files from the Torque Exporter zip ( .87 ) to the
c:\Blender\.blender\scripts\ my fresh install has 86 files no folders.
my pythonpath
SET PYTHONPATH=C:\PYTHON;C:\PYTHON\DLLS;C:\PYTHON\LIB;C:\PYTHON\LIB\LIB-TK;C:\Blender\.blender\scripts;

I'm currently just using Blender 2.35a and it works like a charm. I must say the Torque exporter is actually more than I had hoped for.
Thanks.

Yeah, was pleasantly surprised myself... especially when I exported my first player with animations (although an extermeley simple block man due to my lack of modeling skill).

Now why doesn't DTS_blender.py see it?
It is in the same dir and PYTHONPATH is set up.
I'm no python coder but I'll keep going with it.
