Penquins.

In my opinion theres not enough games out there involving penquins.

We all know these little creatures will eventually take over the world. So bring on your best Penquin Game ideas.

I think some form of penquin deathmatch game set on the ice could be fun. Have something similar to tribes 2 skiing.

Bring on the penquin love.

Recall the Opposing Forces mod for Half-Life? It has a CTF gametype and one of the maps is called Winter Wonderland. In the original HL is a critter called a snark, an insect that can be tossed like a grenade. It scuttles after your target and detonates in a cloud of yellow ichor. The creator of Winter Wonderland reskinned the snark as a penguin wearing a vest full of C4. You could get the penguin eggs from the snowman on a hard-to-reach slope on the map.

I saw the penguin game, but the kitty cannon is still better.

The penguin idea is really good, a LOT of girls love penguins, and it would attract a lot of attention on the shelves of your local game store, people would be like "wtf, a penguin? that's odd" and then they'd talk about it, and then more people would talk about it, and then once people realized it was a great game, everyone would go buy it.

Just dont make them ugly penguins like in Batman Returns. Cute cel shaded penguins would work nicely, with giant buster swords perhaps....

Well for you penguin haters (or lovers) they play a large role in our game that will be released in the fall. Mid September. We will be releasing screenshots and demos within the next 2 months so keep an eye out! And yes it's made with torque.

Back in 2003 I made a Penguin FPS written in dark basic.
This was the first game i ever wrote so it looked pretty lame
It takes place in an arena (a box) with an ice ground and snow hills (the hills are randomly generated)
But the object of the game is to shot as many penguins as you can before they killed you. The game starts out with 10 penguins on the map
every time you kill one penguin 1 to 10 more penguins would randomly spawn
maxing out at 200 penguins
every 100 penguins you kill will move you up a level
then the penguins will move faster and cause more damage
I have since lost my penguin model but if I find one I'll post the game
its kind of fun to pass the time

I remember when I demoed it in my game development class one of the students playing it couldn't find any penguins. I then told him to stop running away and turn around. After about 3 second it looked like a seen from Brave hart all 200 penguins came flooding over the ice hills at him. it was pretty funny. He died very shortly after that.

One Must Fall
You are a penguin, a mighty penguin. The whole of your being is related to one purpose and one purpose only: to stay on your ice flow. The gameplay is basically like a game of marbles, but with penguins. The point is to knock other penguins (and other things) off of your ice flow without falling off or being knocked off yourself. The primary attack is simply to slide on your belly at whatever you want to push off. But you can also skid or block an impending attack (as can they), bouncing them away. The ice-flow can shear and break into pieces or can slide under other obstacles. Tourists can take pictures that stun you or enemies with their flashes. Killer whales and polar bears can eat you.

Strangely, I kind of want to play this game now...Perhaps I should dust of T2D and experiment.

Penguins suck. Make a sled-dog racing game.

Edit: and here it is n.ethz.ch/student/mkos/pinguin.swf

Too bad that game seems kinda static. Hit the pengiun in a certain spot each time, same score. Hmm =(

"Eskimo Hunter".

You are an experiened Eskimo Hunter. For years penquins have been fascinated by these wooly creatures who live in ice huts. Every year they cull Eskimos to stop them from getting out of control and for scientific research.

You and your penquin army are required to track and hunt these creatures. Maybe even do it in a documentary style . A penquin news crew is videotaping your escapades for there latest documentary.

Be a nice change from deer hunter :)
