I was wodering what garagegames plans were in regards to the editor solution in both TGE and TSE,
Are there any plans???
If so any idea of a timeline for a new editor solution for either of these engines. (1 year, 2 Years??) and can elaborate at all at this point what it may be composed of or what any internal discussions have talked about?

I'm curious what you mean as well--there is no editor that is part of either TGE or TSE--you use whatever you want.

as well as an integrated interior solution, Multi viewports for mission editing would make things way easier.
I think the interface could be layed out much better as well.. I work on two Monitors so seperate floating windows for your cotent browsers etc would also be nice, then I could keep one full screen view port at all times for editing.
Content preview windows for Static Shapes and Animations would be nice as well.
I am going to compose a list of would be nice features and expand into a an Editor Design doc at some point,
I was mostley curious as to the internal plans for updatng the mission. Dont want to duplicate workflow.
I work as a Game Designer so I am a little spoiled by some of the other tools I get to use at work.
Not they dont have their problems. But I am developing in my head My ideal Design solution..

I guess what I am looking for is more of an All-in one Level builder/Mission design tool.as well as an integrated interior solution, Multi viewports for mission editing would make things way easier.

I do know that GG is working on all of the tool chains, and specifically refactoring how they are integrated to make things more seemless, but GG also historically likes to have solid solutions, or at least very strong designs with prototypes before even discussing things openly, which IMO is a very good thing.
Of course that doesn't stop anyone from discussing things here, especially if you have solid experience with other solutions/implementations!

Ok, makes more sense...I assumed you meant "script/code" editor, as opposed to mission editing, etc.I do know that GG is working on all of the tool chains, and specifically refactoring how they are integrated to make things more seemless, but GG also historically likes to have solid solutions, or at least very strong designs with prototypes before even discussing things openly, which IMO is a very good thing.

There are threads out there that go over the plans for 1.4 and 1.5. A lot of them dealing with the different editor changes.
IF you mean a script editor, I don't think they are planning on adding one. Then again, I could've not heard about it
