Exporter issues (3ds max)

I am having trouble exporting dsqs.
I have researched the forums and documentation and i know enough to know that the regulars to the forum consider this a laboured point, but both me and my friend have been working on exporting for about 4 or 5 days now.
I can export dts, and make them collidable with texture but cant get any further.
I have the bounding box, detail marker, mesh and sequence animation, but i dont know how to animate the boxes with out using bones, and when i use bones it says "must unattach skin".
