Hello all,

I've got a question about 'moding' the engine. I know that you have to pay a 100 dollar per licensing fee for each programmer under the indie LA but if you don't share the source code with others on your team can they still work with the torque script? In other words, can they program scripts for your game if you didn't pay for them to license the engine. (i'm the torque license owner)

The license is only needed to distribute and to edit the source code. No restrictions on scripting.

Restrictions:
(d) Licensee may not distribute the source code or documentation to the engine in any manner, unless recipient also has a license to the Engine.

They also can't view the official documentation

There are still some problems, for instance :

The 3DSMax exporter documentation IS official documentation.

How you guys handle that ??

It hasn't to do anything with official or not. What they mean is documentation to the engine itself. The c++ part of it. The 3DSMax esporter documentation is available through the "Torque for Artists"-Section which is open to anyone.

You are allowed to use everything you find on the site. Everything which isn't protected. Log out and try to access to Torque Engine Documentation. It won't work. What means? Only SDK Owners are allowed to see it. Everything else is open to everyone.
