BSP support

Was wondering where this fits in with the milestones? I remember hearing that BSP support is a major issue with TSE and will be implemented(hoepfully) so I was just wondering what kind of time frame we should be looking at with that?

What do you mean by BSP, exactly? Not to be pedantic, but if you mean it in the quake/level design sense, it's a long-had feature in Torque. If you mean the specific data structure, well, we use it where it makes sense to use it over other data structures.

What steps would we have to go through in order to take the BSP levels that are made in Radiant and load them into the torque engine?

Alrighty, I understand what you are saying, i meant the quake level design sense.. Right now what we are doing is making our levels in Radiant GTK simply because it is the best open source level editor out there in my opinion.. What steps would we have to go through in order to take the BSP levels that are made in Radiant and load them into the torque engine?

Make sure you are fully aware of the legal restrictions on content created with any level editor you choose.

I know, didn't really contribute to the discussion at hand but I felt it had to be mentioned.

Torque doesn't use those, you'd need to take the map files from your editor and make difs with map2dif instead.
And I'd like to second what Harold said - double check the EULA on Radiant.

Ah, you mean the poorly named BSP file format used by Quake engine games.Torque doesn't use those, you'd need to take the map files from your editor and make difs with map2dif instead.
And I'd like to second what Harold said - double check the EULA on Radiant.

Radiant is great if you're working on a non-commercial project. Otherwise it's $5000 worth of great.
