Advanced DIF Usage

I have two questions pertaining to advanced usage of DIF files:
1, Has anyone done any work in allowing DIF files to be loaded ad hoc without crashing every client? Currently, if you spawn an interior during gameplay, any and all clients will crash.
2, Has anyone done any work in allowing interiors to be mobile? I personally believe this is possibly, with drastic modifications (removing the lighting scheme, only keeping collision).
