Corel is killing Jasc!

Again, like with EA, big corporations are killing the small guys. Corel bought Jasc out with a promise to continue to extend and promote the Paint Shop Pro line.
Whats happening? No updates for non-us customers, patches that destroy your install, and phantom post deleters that are deleting all threads that are complaining or asking for support from corel. Once again we see the big corps killing the small guys, I have used PSP since version 4 and am out-raged that corel are abusing and ignoring its loyal user base. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

If I were you though I would direct my anger at the JASC management who decided to sell off their product line to their competition in return for money. You can blame the new owners all you want, but in their defense they are the end of the line not the beginning and there is no telling what exactly has gone on between the start and the end to make a sound judgement.

Unfortunately this is what usually happens when a product is bought out by its competition. If anything you should be thankful that Corel is even considering funding any R&D into PSP and hasn't canceled the product line outright and integrated its technologies into Corel Paint or some new application. If I were you though I would direct my anger at the JASC management who decided to sell off their product line to their competition in return for money. On another note... Corel sold Bryce, but it does look like the new owners (can't remember who?) will be supporting it and growing the further development of Bryce5.
