Torque for space sim?

Hey Everybody, I'm wondering if the Torque engine could be used to create a space combat sim such as the old Wing Commander series of games? I've put together some early art development pics for a project I want to get off the ground as sort of a spare time thing. If anybody wants to take a look at what I've got so far I've put in some links so you can have a peek...

I luv the shader engine and I think I might create a futuristic multiplayer game before I get into my space sim.

I've been playing Eve-Online and X3 alot. Also tried out Darkstar One, which wasn't really that good. Anyway... etting some gewd ideas.
I agree with Phil though about it the commercial side of it. Space sims are a very niche market. And the hardcore space sim fans expect alot (and then some).
Malcolm: Yep... it works with TLK. Look at my prev Plans.
EDIT: Didn't see this thread was bumped... :-/
