Where is the demo?

Hi I am interested in buying the Torque engine but I want to see a working demo first. I've had a look around the site but can find anything but screen shots. Is there a demo out yet? If so where is it?

Also if a programmer reads this post what compiler can be use with this engine? Vis C++ 5.0 or 6.0 or is it scripting only?

Codewarrior, VC++ 6 (thats what i use) AND scripting are supported. basically, the compiler builds the executable, the executable loads the script and then you go from there ingame. Pretty straight foward. Its big though. Not for the timid, and i think others on this board will back that up. i purchased the SDK over a month ago, and i am still ironing things out, how stuff gets done, and such. Its lots of fun though, and a community of support right here! i can tell you im glad i bought it, and even if nothing comes of my demo, i still had fun :)

Moffatt, if I were you I'd check out Tribes2. The Torque engine is what powered Tribes2, though it should hopefully be a bit powerful in some ways once it's finished it's transition into a workable demo. I'm sure there's a Tribes2 demo somewhere, or you could just buy the game.

They are supposed to be releasing the Torque demo soon.

We will be releaseing a public demo... we've contracted a few artists including Joe Maruschak to make some cool shapes for us, but it looks like we're still a ways off from getting all our art completed and the demo polished.
