Animaion for Torque

by Chris Byrne · in Torque Game Engine · 11/21/2001 (4:53 pm) · 4 replies

Could anyone tell me if they know of a good tutorial that deals with the animation end for player models? I'm looking for something that explains how to setup blend sequences and the basic animation.

There is no tutorial that exists yet that explains the the system in detail yet. I hope to be able to find some time in the near future to write one up.

Your best bet for the time being is to read this tutorial

garagegames.com/index.php?sec=mg&mod=resource&page=view&qid=1548

and email me if you have any questions about how the system works.

If your using milkshape, post a thread looking for REX. He seems to know everything about it. Basically(for Milkshape)you smark an animation as a blend when you export it. Its recommended that the ref frame be the same as the root pos(i.e. start the headlook seq at head-all-the-way-up. The last frame should be head-all-the-way-down and the ref frame would be somewhere in the middle).
