Changes from 1.3 to RTS Starter kit

I'm just doing a diff between the TGE 1.3 and RTS Starter Kit and I'm wondering how much of 1.4 is in the RTS Start Kit. I'm noticing that there are quite a few modifications to the standard code base that are not directly applicable to an RTS game that are quite obviously a "fix" to a deeper underlying issue. Is this safe to assume or was the RTS Starter Kit author(s) just being diligent?
Also, will the RTS Starter Kit remain in lock-step with the current TGE release schedule so that changes to the standard TGE code base be propagated through RTS Starter Kit? And vice versa?
I picked up the RTS Starter Kit not to create an RTS but to get many of the features, i.e. orbit camera (with fixed network issues), object selection with the mouse, visible mouse pointer, etc. Call me lazy but why re-invent the wheel? :)

As far as how much of 1.4 is in this pack...well some of what we did in this pack contributed to 1.4, and some of the fixes in 1.4 helped this pack, so it was a bit of a synergetic relationship.
