Possible fallout from EA's bad press lately?

Was doing my daily gamasutra read and noticed this article:
DICE May Roll Out Of EA's Reach?.
While the article does not mention in any way the recent bad publicity regarding employment practices that have been alleged in several blogs and related web sites, I couldn't help but think that at least some of the DICE stockholders are taking the bad press to heart in their rejection of EA's attempted buyout.
Even if it wasn't a part of the backlash against the proposed buyout, maybe EA (and other industry giants) will notice that it could have been a factor, and that their employee practices may be hitting their bottom line a lot sooner, and a lot more directly, than they think.

But no - it likely comes down to two factors that rule all such decisions: Greed and fear.
