Mac - retexturing leaves white blobs?

by Heath Rezabek · in RTS Starter Kit · 12/01/2004 (3:34 pm) · 3 replies

[i am porting a few issues over from the General forum; ideally someone cld confirm or deny these issues; they may be probs with my setup and not bugs.. i'm happy to follow whatever protocol is deemed best for where to post these.]

in the Texture Painter, i am unable to click on a texture to paint onto the landscape; it clicks through, and instead deposits a white blob. this happens whether it's one of the existing txtrs or an import. anyone else?

So; is this a known issue on the Mac, or must there be something wrong with my configuration? just want to rule out possibilities. -aq

Hmm.. interesting. I actually hadn't tried this before, sorry. This behavior reproduces on my machine as well.

This was an old problem with Torque on the Mac, but it was fixed. I bet that we didn't merge the fix in with the RTS kit. I will do so at the earliest opportunity (which may be a little while, since we're all very, very busy with several major projects at this point) and make the fix available here.

In the meantime, you can find the fix yourself both on the forums (in the torque sdk owner's stuff) and in the resources, I believe. Post again if you can't find it and I, or someone else I'm sure, can help you locate it.

Sorry for the hassle!

Heres a link to that solution for easy reference for anyone else who might have this problem:
www.garagegames.com/mg/forums/result.thread.php?qt=20386

Edit: except it doesnt seem to work properly =-/. I fixed the issue by merging the changed rts files with the base code for Torque 1.3.0

Edit again - Ok it worked this time around on a fresh install I did for the networking junk. thanks again
