I have heard lots about "GG's license agreement". But not what it is! :)

Could someone elaborate?

thanks

But, you own Torque. You had to accept the license agrement before you bought it.

Don't bring logic into this, Jeff. If it didn't compute then, it won't compute now.

EDIT: It's like when the EULA changed and people clammored that the world was ending without reading through it to see how it benefitted them.

I meant "If I make my game using Torque, what rules then apply from GG?" Do they take 65% of the money I make, like I seem to remember reading somewhere? I dont belive this, as its such a nice company, not money grubbing like so many others I know.

NO, that's if you -publish- your game using Garage Game's Publishing service (and I think that amount is higher in any case). You are not required to use GG as a publisher--but you'll find that especially for a first game (assuming they agree to publish it), it's one of the best profit margins granted by any publisher in the business.

The only cost related requirement for making your game and releasing it on your own, or with other publishers, is the change from an "Indy" license to a Corporate license if your company makes a certain amount of money.

This is important stuff, I highly suggest you research the EULA diligently, as well as the various business aspects of using publishers if you are serious about releasing your game commercially.
