Implementing SpeedtreeRT

Hi all,
I 've read a little about people having success in implementing Speedtree into Torque and was wondering if anyone might have any tips on where to start or any potential pitfalls involved in such an undertaking?
Thanks
John

Thank you, Joseph. I thought it was them, but didn't want to incorrectly report it.

I would encourage anyone that has a Torque solution like this to contact me immediately.

Dormant, is that in TGE?

No, that is from my former project - WISH - using Gamebryo, SpeedTreeRT, and SpeedGrass. I just provided them as an example. I am interested in getting a tree/grass solution into Torque whether it is a SpeedTree integration, or some other 3rd party package.

Do you have the funding to get speedtree?

Ummm...yeah.... that looks pretty damn good... yeah. Fixed function pipeline? Do they sway? Cost? Grass?

Dormant, All good questions. I want the awnsers too. If TSE were to come with a speedtree and grass solution. I'm sure you(GG) could raise the price double, and still have Indies buy it.

@Dormant: They don't sway, and it's not Grass, there's a grassReplicator object in the engine for that. (or Foliage replicator, whatever). And yes it's fixed function pipeline.

Hey Dormant, Ive contacted the makers of TreeMagikG3 and I'm trying to work on something so we can add it to the TGE. (Yes that very well should include wind and grass)
