Quote:The Torque Game Engine itself has been used on a number of indie PC/Mac/Linux gaming projects, including: ThinkTanks Airborne, Marble Blast, Distant Towers, Metal Drift and Orbz, and Torque Engine games were recently rolled out into arcades as part of the FlexArcade gaming system.

ok... So I love the coverage... But does anyone know what ThinkTanks 'Airborne' or 'Distant Towers' refers to?

Maybe you'll get Brian Ramage to say more he was on the original dev. team Ozo Interactive, but Metal Drift was at IGC 2002 and it got a lot of play. MD was pitched to some very large commercial publishers.

Quote:Ozo Interactive's first project is 'Metal Drift,' a large scale vehicular and armor based multiplayer title set to expand squad-based gameplay. The company is currently searching for a publisher for Metal Drift.

Heh, yeah wow, I haven't seen Metal Drift mentioned in a while, seems like a very long time ago. Ozo is dissolved, learned a ton from that experience though.

I've been working on a new version of MD for quite some time now. It's a different concept than the original prototype, but it's still a hardcore title. Progress is going well, hopefully we'll show something at this coming IGC.

Brian, for real ? You serious ? I so wanted to play the full game after trying out that early build back at IGC2002 : seeing Tim Gift playing it spurred my curiosity, so I joined the fray (and got my butt handed to me by him, and not on a silver platter, btw ;))
Bring it on !!! That's one game I will be very glad to see, even if it's a "different concept".
Tell us more, if and when you can.
Cheers !!
