he's very much in progress. actually, as i write this, the face is modeled much further (near complete), im about to go into the ear/back of the head.
im modeling this rather hi poly because im getting into normal maps.
So.... come on.... doesnt ANYONE have any work in progress to show besides me?

They do, the only thing is that having one big generic "work in progress" thread for everything is a bad idea buecause it will just create a noisy mess. Its best that each critique/WIP post that people do be a seperate and unique thread in order to ensure that the developer/artist gets relivent information that he/she can use to make thier work better.

but thats just me. really, i just wanted to get the ol' proveribal ball rolling. :) the torque for artists forums are underutilized.
here is another screen. Progress has been made.

Ehhh... im inclined to disagree actually, logan. If someone is looking for a serious critique, then, yes, its good to start a unique thread. If its just a "hey, whats up?" type thing, then, it in my opinion, one thread is fine.but thats just me. really, i just wanted to get the ol' proveribal ball rolling. :) the torque for artists forums are underutilized.

Nice model Adam. It's shaping up very much like the concept art.
I like the nose especially.

Looks very nice so far Adam, I do like the stylization a lot.

In regards for the modeling, I think you might need to focus more detail onto his body for skeletal deformation and maybe do some polygonal reduction on the face since it seems a bit excessive there to me.
