Accuracy of Collision in TGE/TSE

Hi i've been lurking for a while and have decided to purchase to the license soon after having experimented with the demo.
i'm just wondering if its possible to do collision detection based on the model meshes touching as opposed to the bounding boxes?
Also TSE is an engine in its own right and not an addon to TGE? I am confused.
It says I must own TGE Indie license if i want to buy TSE.
So i must buy both TGE and TSE?
Thanks

TSE is a version of TGE with all the rendering code rewritten, and a new graphics layer. There are other difference but that is the major one. We require people to be TGE licensees first because we are still in an Early Adopter stage. You'll note that getting TGE and TSE together is $250 - $50 less than the price TSE will eventually be on its own.
