See the Torque documentation and check/search existing threads in the Torque SDK Private Forums.

You may need to edit your subscriptions to see the private forums.

You will need to be a license owner and logged in to access most of the Torque resources.

Hm ;)
Looks like you are NO SDK Owner?!

Amazing isn't it?

No shame, no fear, no license.

Yes - i have SDK from my pal - i must learn it before buy license. I must know everything about Torque Engine. Then i will buy Torque License.

... problem is that i cannot afford for buying Torque license. I must know that this engine will be for my project.. and then rob the bank ;)

Which Pal is that? Maybe we can help him and then he can help you.

Is it possible to compile the SDK with VC++ 4, or C++ Builder 4.0?

@Stefan Trzepiekonski:

Well, the SDK is not transferable, and your idiot to friend just broke the license agreement which he "signed" when he purchased this product. You can't just copy it away to a friend to test it. It's called warez.

If you want to use Torque, then buy it. If you can't afford it, then you probably can't make a game anyway, it's darn cheap for what you get.

So how about Visual Studio.... steal that too? But I bet you'd be the first to cry bloody murder if someone pirates your game...

How to compile the engine for a non SDK owner.
1. Go to the Torque SDK directory.
2. Press delete.
3. Press yes.
4. Purchase the SDK from Garagegames!
5. Read the docs.
6. Ask again.

Stefan, you may not evaluate Torque's source-code without owning a license. If you want to see the source-code, you have to buy Torque, there is no way around it. You should immediately delete it from your hard-drive, and ensure that your friend knows that it is a violation of our EULA and illegal to distribute our copyrighted material, even to friends for evaluation.

I'm sorry you can't afford an SDK license right now, but that means you can't have the engine's source-code. If you want to get started using Torque until you can afford it, you can learn TorqueScript and begin mod'ing the Torque demo application. That will get you going until perhaps one day you can buy the engine and legally acquire the source-code.
