Am I hitting the wall?

I am trying to run the TSE Demo, but might have hit a wall.

I have an ATI Rage 128 Pro 32MB video card, running on a 733Mhz PC with 384 MB RAM.

I have been running the TGE fine so far, but when I try to run the TSE Demo I get a message saying I need DirectX 9 and a video card that supports Pixel Shader 1.1.

I already have DirectX 9 installed so I am wondering what I need to have Pixel Shader 1.1 support.

Is there something I can do with my current system/video card or do I need a better video card?

You need a better video card :(

I kind of thought so, but was a bit in denial.

Is this the car demo? If so, do you have DX9.0 *C* (9a or 9b will not run the demo)

Tim, his card simply can't run it : an ATI Rage 128 is pre-GeForce 1, and actually, less powerful than a TNT ;)
Ideally you should get at least GeForce 3 class hardware for TSE Ken : ATI Radeon 8500 (I think, go for 9500 and up, they're quite cheap these days), or nvidia GeForce 3 and up (don't get a GeForce 4 MX 'though, get a real one ;))

Hi guys. I also hit some problems working with TGE so my card is definitely stretched as far as it will go and I am upgrading this week.

I was just about to look for an ATI Radeon 9500 or better so thanks for the confirmation.

With a newer CPU and some other improvements I think I will be ok.

Thanks for the help.
