Oone of the newer features of TSE.

Glow for the sky. Can get some really good effects with this.

I've got shader ideas pouring out every part of my body, lol.

EDIT: That's pretty sweet BTW

Wow, that will go really well with my mythical, high brightness game look! :)

I must stop drooling and finish my TGE-based release first, though. ;)

Yeah this effect is used in Full Spectrum Warrior very well

and in Far Cry as well

I didnt really like it in FSW... I mean, when I look at the sky i dont see it glowing. Unless its used for the sun and maybe the clouds.

Looks fantastic!

I think it'd be great for a nuclear fallout/radioactive sky; or very, very distant bombs exploding. But used sparingly (maybe one or two levels). Looks cool.

We also used this to create a false Depth of Field effect in the Snowy TSE IGC Demo.
Funny story, this was created actually by chance. I was playing around with Glow Shaders on Cielings & Walls to create
a Matrix like effect because it was sweet looking. So anyway, Ben G saw it and was like we should put that on the skybox, and one thing led to another and it became a feature.

Can do some cool stuff with Glow buffers other than glowing, check out the TSE IGC Video to see what it looks like for a fake depth of field effect.

@Jacob, to get this working, you'll need a recent build which has Milestone 1 updates included. Then you can edit the glow color/amount & turn it on or off via the Sky datablock in the mission file.

Heh, got it now.. looks awesome, nice work! ;) Btw, since we're talkin glows here, was just wondeirng.. Whats the deal with the glows in the car demo? In the IGC video i saw that car's glow was much bigger and seemed to sort of illuminate the room actually. Also saw this in other screenshots by GG. However this definatly wasn't the case in the demo. What was that all about?

Good eye, that's actually a volumetric light & glow shader, I pulled it from the volumetric part out because it requires a really beefy machine to run well otherwise it really chops the frame-rate and it'd leave a bad first impression. It can totally be done with the Milestone 1 updates however.

Ohh, can ya tell me how? I got a beefy machine and i'd love to check this out! ;) Im sorta clueless as to volumetric lights and such so if ya could just tell me what block of code to slap on somewhere maybe i can test this out on the orc or somethin. ;)

O, just found it.. sorry, im stupid.. lol Looked around a bit and found it in the object creator. Oh btw, hate to be bashin on your TSE demo again like i did in the past, but i feel your normal maps are still severely lacking.. :P Maybe tonight i'll see if i can top em just for kicks. ;)
