MULTI resolution models

Hard core modelers how are you handling the different resolution meshes ? I currently have segmented models that weigh in at around 4K polies, I have tried to use the MAX optimize button but the model just gets warped. Is there a multires pluggin, or some way to auto map to lower rez's ?

I use the Mutlires plugin. In max3 it was an external plugin that you could get from digimation.

It is built into max4. But I have yet to test it to see if it works correctly with the exporter.

There are hooks in the exporter to work with the multires modifier.

Ok, thanks. I found the MultiRes modifier. I thought it was an external pluggin. Loading up the original T2 assets generated a missing multires.dll error.
