I want a new project

So over the past few months or so I've been working with a friend on a game project, and I'm beginning to think that it's not really going to work out. After making a pretty rough prototype, the game just doesn't seem like it will be very fun. To add to the situation, my friend seems to have fallen off the face of the earth, so the art side of things isn't going so well either. Basically, I'm ready to move on to another project, but I have really no idea where to go.
I'm really not much of an artist. I've been trying to improve my modelling and texturing skills, but they aren't good enough to use in a game. I am, however, a good programmer, and I've become pretty good with torqescript. Because I can't do artwork, it's really not possible for me to do something on my own, so I'm looking to join a team.
So I thought I'd throw this out to see if anyone needs a scripter/programmer for a nice, feasible game.
Basically, I just want to actually finish something, and I want to work with people who are really motivated and excited about this stuff.
EDIT: clarification

Our webpage is at www.modernwarfare.net , but we don't have alot of stuff on it.
We just got an animator/texture artist three weeks ago, and just converted the game to Torque Shader Engine two days ago, and we're getting ready to get some screenshots up as soon as the textureguy skins the player model.
We have had 2-3 years to do the game design, and we've started fresh with the game in around March, but we have quite alot done, although our team is kinda small at the moment. We need new artists the most, but like I said, a new scripter would be great aswell!
You can mail me at renm@modernwarfare.net if you need to get in touch with me, or just post here.

We could probably use another scripter, if you're still interested. Our webpage is at www.modernwarfare.net , but we don't have alot of stuff on it.

You could try GIDing ... www.gameinaday.com/ ... quite a few games that are in full production now started life as a GID. Furthermore, quite a few solid teams have formed from people working together in a GID.

I'm assuming the email listed in your profile is valid. I sent you an email.
I actually have the opposite problem. I am my teams sole scripter, and am outnumbered by artists 5 to 1. :) Unlike Stefan, we could certainly use another coder / scripter on our team. My email contains details of our project, as well as reasons why you'll never see a similar disappearing act from our guys.
If you didn't get the email, just let me know.
Chris.

I've taken a look at both projects, and I decided to take Chris up on his offer. His project looked like fun and something that would be a really good fit for me.
In regards to GIDing, I'd like to give it a try just for fun, maybe next time one happens. I'm a little bit nervous, though, the last competition I tried was much longer than a day, (i think it was a few days, or maybe a week) and I still ended up running out of time. I guess it would be slightly different starting with Torque, instead of a blank C source file, though.

GID isnt a competition. It's just for fun and because we are slightly insane :) The secret to actually finishing is to keep it small, or just never stop and turn it into a full time project. This one we started late monday/early tuesday and it's not finished. Its still going now in "spare" time.
The next GID is next week at IGC. There will also be one held on IRC as usual. More information will be available over the next few days. It's worth hanging around on IRC beforehand so you can chat to the regulars and get a feel for how it all works.
GID doesnt require you to use any engine in particular. A lot of people use TGE because you can potentially get more stuff done, but there have been GID entries using TGE, from scratch using C/C++, one using A6 GameStudio and even one using Python. All of the above were finished within the time limit. The main thing is just to keep your idea as simple as possible. Don't worry about art, there's usually plenty of artists hanging around that are willing to help out anyone that needs it.
