Game-in-a-Day 6, at IGC and on IRC

A few people have been asking about how the GID at IGC is going to work. So, here's whats happening:

We will be holding a usual IRC GID alongside the IGC GID. However, if you can make it to Eugene, OR for the weekend of October 8th through 10th, and havent signed up for IGC yet, head on over to theIGC site and register now! Make sure you sign up for the GID. The IGC GID is going to be a blast that you really don't want to miss.

For participants in the live IGC GID, there are a few small rule changes. Since everyone will be busy getting their stuff ready for IGC, your 24 hours may be spent in any way you see fit the week leading up to IGC. There will also be 6 hours of computer time available at IGC on Friday 8th October which you can use for finishing up or doing a game in 6 hours.

For participants in the IRC GID, the GID will be held across the weekend as usual. This will hopefully help ease the pangs of pain and guilt sure to be felt by those unable to get to IGC this year.

More details will be made available sometime soon. Head on over to www.gameinaday.com to read more about GID and the previous entries, as well as the usual rules and info on how to enter. Make sure you get your IGC ticket first, though, if you havent already!

Be sure you fill out the registration form and check the GID box - we'll have some exciting new tools we'll be giving GID participants a chance to run through its paces.
